The 2013 Tin Roof Gardens Hydrangea Edition, Part 2

This is a mix of white Hydrangea arborescens Annabelle with pink and blue Hydrangea macrophylla Endless Summer.

This is a shot of the same bed above taken from a cross the yard. Note - you can click the images to increase their size and run a slideshow.
Hydrangea macrophylla Nikko Blue starting to emerge.
Another Nikko Blue.
This is a group of pink Nikko Blue and one macrophylla Penny Mac.

Oak Leaf Hydrangea Alice of the left and middle (the taller plants) and standard Quercifolia on the far right.

This is the row above taken from the opposite direction. Standard Quercifolia in the foreground and Oak Leaf Alice starting where the patio ends.

This is an incredibly large Oak Leaf Alice bloom. It was over a foot long. Notice the amount of shedding on the leaf below the flower. This was probably a genetic hairball that came up from selective breeding to obtain the Alice variety. A throwback to its standard Quercifolia heritage perhaps.
This is what Oak Leaf Alice blooms typically look like.

Hydrangea Paniculata White Moth starting to show it's true self. This is actually two planted together to form a tiered mass. One planted higher on the mound and one lower.

Another White Moth view. Paniculata are native to Japan and China.

And a closeup of White Moth.
